  6. immediate updating of files; everyone works from the same up-to-date figures
  7. and printouts are quickly obtained from a line printer or a hard copy terminal.
  8. Impact II is Closed Loop Net Change system: The system uses state-of-the-art
  9. production and inventory control techniques. While keeping track of
  10. requirements and open orders, it provides immediate visibility into what is in
  11. inventory and what is not available, thus allowing management to plan
  12. inventories and manufacturing operations to satisfy current and future needs.
  13. All transactions within the system update information immediately. Transactions
  14. which may impact the material plan are taken into account and replanning may be
  15. done as frequently as desired. When replanning is done, the system replans only
  16. those items which require a review, thus the system uses the least amount of
  17. necessary computer time.
